This week we are going to concentrate on academic integrity, specifically cheating. We would like your anonymous responses here, unless you want to give your name. Please pick a unique fake name; we want to be able to tell the difference between who is writing, even if we don’t know who you are. Please answer in as much detail as possible. The questions are:
1. Have you ever cheated on a test or quiz in school?
2. Have you done it this year?
3. If yes this year, how often?
4. If yes this year, for which subjects?

9. I was doing very bad and I needed something to raise my grade or repeat a grade trying. So I did it and now I am riddled with the giult of my past.

I’m ashamed because I would get a grade I don’t desere.

I have never cheated on a test or a quiz myself but I have given answers to others. I don’t know all the reasons but it was mainly because of peer pressure. I have done it this year. Probably a few times such as 3 over the year. I don’t know which subjects but it could of been any subject. No I haven’t lied on my reading log about saying I read a book but I really didn’t. No I haven’t copied any work and claimed its mine. I have not copied any of my friends homework. Like I said it was peer pressure on me although I just gave away answers. I was so ashamed of myself so I over came the peer pressure and stopped 7 months ago. After I stopped giving away answers I realized that it was wrong and that I was just being used in someone elses web of lies amd cheating. I think if people behaved like me there would be chaos at the beginning but after the people learn from their mistakes it would all be better and more civilized in the ethics of the world.

I have not cheated in a test or quiz but I have cheaated probobly 3 or below but never on a quiz i cheat on ONLY homework but i haven’t done it anymore becouse I felt really bad. I have not lied about my reading logs.I don’t know why I do it probably becouse I do anything just to get a good name. I always use my own words and never copy from the internet, book, etc. I’m ashamed of myself that’s why I don’t cheat anymore becouse it just feels bad.I do not plan on cheating through High school becouse i don’t want to feel bad or ashamed of myself. The consequence of our society would be really bad we would’nt know if we should trust anybody and we would all feel bad. Things would be worse than they are today ’cause we really have dishonest people. I have learned not to cheat without anybody telling me it is bad and cheating brings bad consequenses.

To “person?”: Don’t be so hard on yourself. It sounds like you have chosen to stop cheating. The world would not be chaos if people behaved like you; it would be a better place if people learned from their mistakes.

1) I have cheated on 1 quiz because I was having a bad day and I had bad thoughts. It was my temptations. I mean, who hasn’t cheated at least once on thier quiz/test??!!

I have only cheated once. I have cheated in the beginning of the first semester. It was in science because I had move to a new class and they were on a subject I didn’t know about. I haven’t lied on the reading logs. I haven’t copied anything on the internet. I haven’t copied on a friend unless I know how they got the answer. I am not happy about that day. I will not cheat in high school or collage because I will allways try my best. If everyboby was like me it wouldn’t be perfect but it would be better than this world.

7.me and rein have copied sometimes, but that’s only when we don’t understand something and one of us cant explain to the other.we dont do it often.
8.looking back to my answer for #7, i do that for the day until the next day i come to school so that i can ask somebody to explain something thuroghly.
9.i do regret it, especially after something is explained to me.im not so ashamed since i dont do it often.but it does hurt me andit makes me worry a little.
10. doing it all the time isnt worth it.so, i dont do it a lot.even when i do, it’s seems to be pretty obvious to others.during almost all of the time, i do my own work.

if i did cheat i would do it because i want to getthe grades to make my parents happy and so i can go to college.

I cheat because i assume that the person next to me knows the answer,i copy them so i can get good grades.

yes i have cheated on a quiz in school.I have cheated this year.I cheated like 10 times.In art,math,& english.yes i have cheated on reading log most of the times i read the back of the book.No i have not copied work from the internet or books and say their in my own words.yes i have copied work and say it mine i have done this in math and english.I do it because it is easy and fast.I don’t care i will do anything it takes to get the grade.I CHEAT.I will probably cheat alit bit.I think it will be the same b/c some people already cheat and the samething is going on.
