Standard: Analyze the effect of the qualities of the character (e.g., courage or cowardice, ambition or laziness) on the plot and the resolution of the conflict.
1. analyze – to look at carefully and in detail
2. effect – the result
3. qualities – the special parts of someone or something
4. character – the people or animals in a story
5. courage – bravery
6. cowardice – no courage
7. ambition – wanting to work hard
8. laziness – being lazy
9. plot – the events in the story; the stuff that happens
10. resolution – how the conflict or problem is solved; the solution
11. conflict – the problem in the story
