Write narratives:
a. Establish and develop a plot and setting and present a point of view that is appropriate to the stories.
b. Include sensory details and concrete language to develop plot and character.
c. Use a range of narrative devices (e.g., dialogue, suspense).

2. develop – to work out in greater detail
3. plot – things that happen in a story
4. setting – where or when a story takes place
5. present – (verb) show
6. point of view – from whose position the story is told
7. appropriate – good, right, correct
8. sensory – involving the senses
9. concrete language – strong, detailed, solid language
10 character – people or animals in a story
11. range – a variety
12. narrative devices – tricks or tools the author uses to tell the story
13. dialogue – speech in the story “….”
14. suspense – scary or exciting
Kid Friendly: Write stories that have:
a. Correct events, setting, and point of view
b. Use imagery and strong language
c. Include devices such as speech and exciting events
